Frequently Asked Questions

Fetal Lite is a next-generation fetal monitoring system developed by InnAccel Technologies. It combines portable, wireless hardware with digital monitoring tools and, in its advanced configuration, ECG/EMG signal extraction technology. The system is designed to monitor maternal and fetal parameters while improving usability, mobility and access to fetal monitoring in hospitals and other appropriate care settings.

Conventional cardiotocography generally uses Doppler ultrasound for fetal heart rate and a pressure-based TOCO sensor for uterine activity. Fetal Lite SU uses ECG/EMG signal extraction through a single probe to measure fetal heart rate, maternal heart rate and uterine activity after 36 weeks of gestation. The technology is designed to reduce probe localisation and repositioning requirements while providing a more comfortable monitoring experience.

Depending on the selected configuration and probes, Fetal Lite can monitor fetal heart rate, maternal heart rate and uterine activity. Fetal Lite SU uses a single ECG/EMG extraction-based probe for these parameters after 36 weeks. The Fetal Lite NST CTG configuration uses traditional Doppler fetal heart rate and TOCO probes, with a twin-monitoring probe available as an add-on.

Fetal Lite is available in configurations intended for different gestational stages. Fetal Lite NST CTG is indicated for monitoring after 24 weeks of gestation using Doppler-based fetal heart rate and TOCO probes. Fetal Lite SU is indicated after 36 weeks and uses a single ECG/EMG extraction-based probe. Clinical teams should select and use the configuration according to the approved instructions for use and patient requirements.

Yes. Fetal Lite is designed as a portable and wireless fetal monitoring system with a lightweight docking station. It includes in-built charging and printing capabilities, helping caregivers use the system in locations where conventional bulky monitoring equipment may be less convenient. Its digital format also supports data storage and cloud-compatible workflows, subject to the healthcare facility’s approved systems and policies.

Fetal Lite includes digital tools for remote data access, scan storage and monitoring. InnAccel Technologies also describes an AI-driven risk-classification capability intended to help identify patterns associated with fetal distress using established guidelines. These tools can support clinical capacity and timely review, but alerts and classifications should always be interpreted by qualified healthcare professionals within the complete clinical context.

Healthcare providers, hospitals and distributors can contact InnAccel Technologies for Fetal Lite pricing, configuration guidance and a product demonstration. Fetal Lite is manufactured by InnAccel Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore, India. The appropriate configuration should be selected on the basis of gestational age, intended workflow, required probes and the healthcare facility’s clinical requirements.
