Affordable and appropriate medical devices and diagnostics are an integral part of an effective healthcare system, but continue to be a critical unmet need for billions of consumers in emerging markets like India. This gap exists because Western MedTech innovation (directed, as it is, towards resource-rich, reimbursed, price-insensitive markets) is fundamentally misaligned with the resource and skill-constrained, self-pay, price-sensitive emerging markets. This critical need is fast becoming a generational market opportunity as MedTech expenditure explodes globally, reaching $42 billion in India, and over $200 billion in BRICS by 2025. Emerging markets require a new kind of innovation, Affordable Innovation, which results in products that effectively address the resource-constraints, skill gaps, and price sensitivity endemic in these markets.
InnAccel has created India’s first MedTech innovation platform, anchored by state-of-the-art R&D facilities and a network of national and global partners, to drive such innovation, and transform healthcare globally.
InnAccel is driven by a highly experienced, entrepreneurial, and multi-disciplinary team that brings the right expertise, experience, and relationships to startups.
